Top 4 Flowering  Trees in Marietta and Cumming

These flowering trees have the beauty of a bed of flowers, with the sturdiness of a tree. This could be considered the best of both worlds for any yard.


 



1.The Cherry Tree

There are several types of cherry tree, but these trees are by far the most eye catching. Almost anyone can identify a cherry tree when they see one during the spring time. These trees are characterized by their soft pink petals and their blooms fragrant smell. This blooming is what prepares the trees to produce the much loved fruit, the cherry.cherry_tree.htm

2.The Flowering Dogwood  

The Flowering Dogwood only grow 15 to 30 feet, and bloom a creamy white during the spring, around the same time as the redbuds. Interestingly enough, however, is that the true blooms of the Flowering Dogwood are actually tinydogwood.jpg and a yellowish green hue. Those flowers are then surrounded by the more significant white blooms. Dogwoods also come in pink.

3. The Eastern Redbud            

 Eastern Redbuds are most famous for their pinkish purple blooms during Spring. Their bark is usually smooth and brown but can becomeEastern_Redbud.png scaly and grey as it grows older. Redbuds are also classified as a small tree due to them growing to be only about 20 to 30 feet.

 

 

4. The Yellowwood    

The Yellowwood is a medium sized tree that is part of the deciduous family. On average they can grow up to 50 feet, but as small as 30 feet. yellowwood.jpgThese trees can often be identified by their smooth and almost gray bark, and fragrant white flowers in the spring. These flowers grow in clusters that hang off the branches.
